Option to turn off bell

I like the audio clips but would like to change or turn off the sound of the hell and the conclusion of the clips..when I am relaxing and then hear that ding, it is kind of alarming/jolts me rather than letting me feel relaxed

Great feedback, we plan to refine things like bell volume, turning it on/off, etc. We totally agree and see how this is a personal preference and can be alarming or jolting for some while others it is the opposite. Thank you for the patience, we believe in a few releases we’ll be able to pause and really dig into this particular idea as well as other’s like it … please continue to give feedback so we can keep focused on what will make a true impact on people using Mindfulness Daily in their lives :-)

Thanks for all the feedback :-))

We've started to implement quieter bells (and continue to think of other things such as a suggested clicks) on the end of meditations.

We have also started to implement different volumes of reminder bells and will add different sounds asap as well.

In the meantime, one way to solve the loud reminder issue - at least partially - is to turn off the sound completely via the settings on your ios device. Here are instructions how to do this below. We hope to get a better solution asap for this, thanks for the feedback and patience.

HOW TO TURN OFF SOUND OF REMINDERS (i.e., using your device's settings outside of the app)
        - On your device, tap Settings
        - Tap on Notification Center
        - Scroll down to tap "Mindful" app in list
        - Switch off "Sounds"
        - Thanks again!

P.s., and incase it helps, here is directions how to turn off or change the settings of all reminders from the app:

HOW TO PERSONALIZE REMINDERS (i.e., turning off/down)
        - Open up Mindfulness Daily by tapping on its icon (+)
        - Go to the more section by tapping on the 3 line icon on upper left corner of the Mindfulness Daily homescreen (same screen as "let's begin")
        - Tap on '+ Reminders' button
        - Select each reminder type by tapping each one to personalize times, frequencies and/or turn off completely

I am going to delete the app now because of the bell. It bugs my colleagues. Let me know when it is gone and I will consider reinstalling.

I agree. Please could we have some options and a volume. Love this app otherwise. Thank you!

Yes I just started a 20 min. silence and the starting bell was shockingly loud. My ears are still ringing. Please make an alternative GENTLE sound. Thankyou

Totally need a volume control, it would be my only reason to delete the app - I can't turn off the bell!

Add an alternate alert option for the bell such as using the phone's vibrate

A very nice solution for this is to add preparatory little clicks, before the final bell, to avoid startling the person who is doing silence practice, also an option to really turn it off..

Yes I agree - I really don't like the bell. In fact so much so that I stopped doing it.
